Federal agents in American Samoa to investigate disappearance of Wyatt Bowles Jr

United States Drug Enforcement Administration Agents have arrived in American Samoa to assist police in the investigation into the disappearance two months ago of Wyatt Bowles Jnr.

Mr Bowles is believed to have been murdered and eight people have been charged in connection with his disappearance.

The Territory's Attorney General, Fiti Sunia, says the visit by the DEA agents comes after a local govenrment request to the United States last month.

The agents are also expected to look at drugs uncovered in the territory thought to have been sent by groups on the US mainland for sale in Pago Pago.
