Ministers and Senior officials from the 16-member Pacific Islands Forum are to meet in Vanuatu next week to set aviation policy for the region.
The fourth Forum Aviation Policy Meeting continues a series of high-level events in which Forum member countries are addressing issues of concern and setting policy to guide the development of the Pacific aviation sector.
The Secretary-General of the Forum Secretariat, Noel Levi, says the creation of a unified and liberalised market for air services, through a single air services agreement among Forum countries would allow all stakeholders a chance to get on with developing the aviation sector.
Mr Levi says the integration of the market wouldn't mean a bigger slice of the cake for some but it would mean a larger cake for all.
