Police in Samoa are holding a 12 year old girl in custody after she was caught boarding a plane with 10 bags of marijuana strapped to he body.
Samoan television reports that the girl was making her fourth flight to American Samoa since April this year.
The date for her to appear in court has yet to be finalised.
A senior police official said the department was saddened by the use of children to break the law and he called for greater help from the community to stop the use of marijuana.
