The management of Pago Pago International Airport in American Samoa has said it's main run way will not re-open until the 12th of July.
Airport officials said the runway had been due to re-open on the third.
Inspections by the US Federal Aviation Administration of the emergency repairs to areas affected by loose debris is continuing.
