Meanwhile, our correspondent in Solomon Islands, Dorothy Wickham, says the Police Commissioner, William Morrell, has warned that despite the intervention force only focussing on new crimes, that does not stop the Royal Solomon Islands Police from investigating old crimes
"Speaking during the first day of the National Unity Summit, hosted by the National Peace Council, Mr Morrell said one such crime is the murder of Peace Cousellor, sir Frederick Soaki. He also said the RSIP does not intend to place blame for the ethnic crisis but wants to move forward."
