Thirteen Fiji fishermen missing at sea for nearly three weeks have been found.

A Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft conducted a search and found the men alive and their boat drfiting more than 600 kilometres from the area where it was last seen off the north-eastern coast of Vanua Levu.

The Fiji Times reports that a foreign fishing vessel, SHINSEI MARU, was directed to the drifting boat and rescued the men last night.

The Fiji navy's operations officer, Lt Commander Francis Kean, says a naval vessel is on its way to meet the SHINSEI MARU.
