Samoa's ruling Human Rights Protection Party has won the Alataua West by-election.
In doing so, the party has pushed its hold in parliament to 32 of the 49 seats.
It ws Alataua West's thrid by-election since genral elections in 2001.
Both previous MPS, Ali'imalemanu Sasa and Ta'atiti Alofa, died in office.
Both were oppostion MPs
