The Solomon Islands rebel leader Harold Keke is being questioned on board the Australian warship taking him to the capital, Honiara.
Keke was arrested on the Weather Coast yesterday, after surrendering to intervention forces.
Nick Warner, who heads the Australian-led intervention force, says no deals were done to secure Mr Keke's surrender.
He says large several family members and supporters are with him on the gunship.
"They're also being interviewed but at this stage they haven't been charged they haven't been arrested. He also surrounded with a number of his extended family so we have ten people on board HMAS Manoorah"

The Australian foreign minister Alexander Downer says Harold Keke is likely to face serious charges, in relation to people taken hostage and killed.
Meanwhile, 15 Fiji police officers led by Divisional Commander, Romanu Tikotikoca, will leave for Honiara on Monday to join the Australian and New Zealand force.
