Instability reported in Solomons coalition government

Reports from Solomon Islands say the prime minister may sack a government minister and a board chairman over the recent attempts to destabilise the administration.

Sources say this comes amid a rift between Sir Allan Kemakeza's party and its coalition partner in the face of opposition moves to get government MPs to defect.

Sir Allan says this involved a failed opposition attempt to pay three ministers about 15-thousand US dollars each to switch allegiance.
