The head of the intervention force in the Solomon Islands has dismissed reports Keke's supporters recently burnt down villages along the Weathercoast of the main island Guadalcanal.
Nick Warner says the reports related to around 20 to 30 huts which were burned almost a fortnight ago, ahead of the force's arrival in the troubled area.
A local pastor had also claimed that another leader had emerged to lead Keke's followers.
But Mr Warner says the Weathercoast had been peaceful since the force established three police posts there earlier this month.
