The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands says it has arrested three police officers and a civilian working for the police for a series of alleged criminal offences.
The Acting Police Commissioner, Ben McDevitt, says those arrested include James Kili, a superintendent with the STAR division.
Mr McDevitt says a search warrant was executed on Kili's premises on Thursday.
"He was then interviewed and later charged with a number of offences including assault occassioning actual bodily harm, wilful damage, intimidation, common assault and discharging a firearm in a public place."
