A senate committee in American Samoa is recommending three more government officials be investigated for illegal and corrupt practices.

The Senate Select Investigative Committee is naming the officials as the Deputy Director of Human and Social Services, Patolo Mageo; the School Lunch Program Manager, Toetu Solaita; and the Chief Finance Officer for the Education Department, Paul Solofa.

The committee chairman, Senator Lualemaga Faoa, says they should be investigated for crimes including theft, embezzlement, perjury, unethical conduct, conflict of interest, and violating procurement laws.
