The latest survey of business confidence in Samoa shows that it has gone up despite increasing costs.
The Samoa Association of Manufacturers and Exporters says that a survey of their members in June revealed that 82 per cent of the respondents were positive about the future.
They said they forsaw an improvement in the business cycle for the next 12 months.
Respondents also indicated a marked increase in costs.
But the survey said despite this, 36 per cent of members were considering upgrading their machinery and 45 per cent were looking at developing new projects and/or new products
