Postal votes in Marshall can't be counted before December 1st

More than two thousand postal absentee ballots that have already arrived in the Marshall Island capital, Majuro, can't be counted until the deadline for overseas votes at the beginning of December.

While the manual counting of all votes cast on-island was finished on Friday, election officials will have to wait until December the first until the counting of postal ballots will begin.

Most of the votes posted from overseas have so far come from Hawaii
