An editorial in Papua New Guinea's "National" newspaper has urged the introduction of drug treatments for HIV/Aids patients.
The special column written to mark World Aids Day, points out that many countries that have signed up for drug supplies, at cost of production rates, are nations similar to PNG ...poor, with a large rural population and difficulties with distribution.
The paper says while drug treatments are not the whole answer to the HIV/Aids pandemic, they should be part of the solution
