The Cook Island's Prime Minister, Dr Robert Woonton, is in Wellington for talks with the Chinese Ambassador, and Wellington property developer, Tim Tepaki.

The Tepaki Group of Wellington is the frontrunner to complete the Vaimaanga Hotel on Rarotonga, although there have been indications, that Mr Tepaki is having problems meeting a deadline on the 30-million US dollar project.

The hotel landowner, Pa Ariki, who is with Dr Woonton's delegation, earlier said she has been reassured by Mr Tepaki that he will meet the deadline although she has had other offers, to complete the problem-plagued 65-room hotel.
