The Samoa prime minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, says male scholarship students who fail through neglect of their studies should prepare to be houseboys.
Tuilaepa says they should be prepared to change napkins, do the laundry and housekeep.
In a speech to farewell scholarship students, he said more females graduated than males.
He says in New Zealand the prime minister, governor-general and Attorney-General are women.
Tuilaepa says their husbands are happy to be called child carers or houseboys.
He says in Samoa, the Attorney General, head of treasury, head of Public Service Commission and the head of all mayors are also all women.
He says they are all good-looking but they have not been chosen for their looks but because they had the expertise.
Tuilaepa says the only way to getting qualifications quickly is to study and pray.
