Power in Tuvalu's capital has been fully restored after technicians from Fiji repaired a high-powered cable.

A senior Education Curriculum Officer,Valisi Tovia, says power to government offices were restored on Friday after a week-long blackout.

But at the weekend the power went off again.

It is back on again and primary schools are open.

But Valisi Tovia says her work has suffered.

"For our education office, it really affects our job, I mean all our daily responsibilities have been delayed because we work through computers and the computers were all out because of no power."

Classes at the secondary school have been postponed until next Monday because of delays in maintainance and upgrading of the school.
