Solomon Islands is hoping for more New Zealand visitors now that the New Zealand government has eased its travel advisory to the once troubled country.

The Tourism Minister, Alex Bartlett, has complimented the government for making the right decision.

He says Solomon Islands tourism operators have missed their Kiwi guests and will welcome them with open arms.

Mr Bartlett says his staff are working hard to develop initiatives to lure more visitors to the country.
