A team at the Tahitian Billfish Tournament has caught a swordfish weighing 319 kilogrammes.
The crew led by Gilles Lo took the lead with the catch off Raiatea on the first day of the competition.
The Tahitipresse news agency reports that another swordfish weighing nearly 250 kilogrammes was also caught.
35 boats with 92 fishers are taking part in the event that will wrap up at the end of the week.
