In American Samoa, the Senate Select Investigative Committee is looking at how thousands of dollars in construction projects have been paid to companies owned by some Senators.

Reports revealed that Lam Yuen Furniture, which is owned by Senator Tulifua Lam Yuen, has been paid just over half a million dollars for renovations and construction work at the Senate.

Reports also showed that a company owned by Senator Misaalefua Hudson called Hudson Construction, was paid 33,000 US dollars to erect a fence around the Fono compound last year.
