A race between a mini-bus packed with school children and a second mini-bus in the Papua New Guinea capital, Port Moresby, ended when one of the vehicles slammed into an oncoming car.
One man is dead and 15 injured after the bus packed with children crashed into a family of four driving in the opposite direction on the four-lane highway.
The children's mini-bus then crashed into the front fence of a social club.
Police, who confirmed the car driver had been killed, say the driver of the school bus was charged with dangerous driving causing death.
