Palau is to add a top golf course and resort to its tourist attractions.

A Japanse radio commentator and investment manager, Toshio Masuda, will invest in an 18-hole golf course and resort, proposed for 425 acres on the island of Babeldaob.

Mr Masuda's Tokyo-based investment company, Sunra World Corporation, has formed a partnership with Palauan businessman, Alan Seid, and his company MidCorp.

The joint development company is called Palau Golf Incorporated.

Mr Masuda says the development is expected to cost up to 30 million US dollars to build.
