Solomons government seeks cutting NGO from aid flow

4:02 am on 13 April 2004

The Solomon Islands home affairs minister, Clement Rojumana, says foreign aid that is being given to NGO's should be made available to the government to fund its development projects.

Mr Rojumana says it's high time that regulations are drawn up to monitor the activities of non-government organisations which he says have sprung up in large numbers now that peace has returned to the country.
