The Prime Minister of Samoa has advised the Ministry of Works to rebuild very high seawalls.

Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi wants to stop villagers removing sand and rocks from seawalls.

This follows the Prime Minister seeing villagers taking away the seawall material.

The sand and rocks are in high demand as building materials.

The Prime Minister commented after an inspection by Cabinet of re-construction work done since Cyclone Heta.
