Samoa says Fiji holds back sheep deal

Samoa's Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi suspects Fiji is holding back sending sheep out of a concern that Samoa might provide competition in that area.

Tuilaepa told Samoa TV that he is suspicious there might be reluctance, because its been three years since Samoa had asked.

Tuilaepa said he initially raised buying sheep from Fiji three Prime Ministers ago, starting with Sitiveni Rabuka.

At one stage Fiji refused to sell their sheep to Samoa.

A shipment of 40 sheep was arranged for late April 27th but it never arrived
