A Solomon Islands non-government organisation says it's vital that airports on Guadalcanal's weathercoast are re-opened.
The head of the Development Service Exchange, Abraham Baenisia, says unless that happens,the area formerly controlled by the warlord, Harold Keke, won't return to normal.
Mr Baenisia says greater movement of people on Guadalcanal will stoke a feeling of mutual trust.
"In this country, when people do not have access to information, they create information, and normally that information are rumours, it's what they want to see happen, is going to be what will happen."
