It's reported that Hawaiian Airlines is being asked to pay more than a hundred million US dollars in back taxes.

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin reports that the US internal revenue service's filing a claim for nearly 1-hundred and 29 million dollars.

This makes it the largest claim on the airline, since Hawaiian filed for bankruptcy last March.

The bankruptcy trustee in charge of the company, Josh Gotbaum, says the magnitude of the claim is unjustified.

The internal revenue service had already been conducting audits for the two years before bankruptcy proceedings began.
