The new leader of the Opposition in Solomon Islands is the former Prime Minister, Francis Billy Hilly.
Alfred Sasako was the unsuccessful candidate for the post.
Mr Billy Hilly replaces John Garo, who crossed the floor and joined the government, after being offered an assistant ministerial post.
Mr Garo had earlier replaced Patteson Oti, who also became a government minister.
