The Forum Secretariat is encouraging private companies in the Marshall Islands to take advantage of its funds.
A business advisor for the secretariat, Asif Chida visited Majuro this week and says there is significant funding from the European Union to support a regional business effort in the Pacific.
Mr Chida says each island country needs to come up with a plan for accessing funding and technical support .
He says there is a small islands development fund specifically for smaller islands such as the Marshall Islands, Kiribati and Tuvalu.
Mr Chida says there's a lot of money available, but the Marshall Islands hasn't tapped into it.
