The Deputy director of the Department of Human and Social Service in American Samoa, Patolo Mageo, has been charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.
Mageo is accused of rigging contract bids in exchange for bribes totalling more than ten thousand Us dollars.
Federal prosecutor, James Crowell said no date has been set for a court appearance.
