Pacific Blue's inaugural flight from Australia to Vanuatu was yesterday delayed by about six hours.
The plane was held on the tarmac after insecticide sprayed in the plane's cabin triggered a cockpit warning light.
Safety procedures forced the 163 passengers to disembark and wait while a cabin fire extinguisher was also replaced.
The company's first flight from Brisbane to Vanuatu is due to take off today.
Pacific Blue, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Virgin Blue, began air service to Fiji two weeks ago.
