Typhoon threat passes for Guam and Marianas

Authorities in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands say a typhoon no longer poses a threat to residents.

The emergency management office in Saipan says Typhoon Nock-Ten is moving north west - away from the Marianas chain.

KU-AM TV reports the governor of Guam, Felix Camacho has given the all-clear signal.

Buses have been taking scores of people from storm shelters in schools, back to their home areas.
