New Zealand's former State Services Commissioner Don Hunn has accepted a job to review Niue's public sector.
Niue has a population of 1500 people, and almost 30 per cent of those are public sector employees.
Mr Hunn's job will be to write a review on how the sector should develop over the next five years.
He will fly to the island next week.
The review is part of the Memorandum of Arrangement between the countries that was signed by Prime Minister Helen Clark and Nuiean Premier Young Vivian, on Sunday.
