The Supreme Court of Samoa has reserved its decision after a court hearing this week involving land compensation in Salelologa on Savaii.
The hearing follows claims by Pauli Koki Wong Kee that compensation paid by the government two years ago to the Alii and Faipule of Salelologa should have been paid to him.
Pauli Koki Wong Kee, who is asking for 13 million US dollars, says that his late mother was the rightful owner of the 2,700 acres of land acquired by the government to develop a township.
However, according to the government, the Alii and Faipule are the rightful claimants.
