Samoa police are now awaiting the return of a former Ministry of Health worker from New Zealand to continue investigations into alleged corruption.
The woman is believed to have been involved in financial work at the ministry, and Police say she's critical to any decision on criminal charges.
The Samoa Observer says the Attorney-General, Brenda Heather-Latu, is having discussions about the woman with New Zealand authorities, as she may be staying illegally.
Last year, public service investigations into the CEO for health, Lolofie Taulealeausumai Dr Eti Enosa, for alleged corruption collapsed.
Files from the PSC investigation were given to Police to see if any criminal charges should be laid against anyone in the Ministry of Health.
