American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono has replaced Fiti Sunia as Attorney General.

Togiola has appointed the Administrative Law Judge Sialega Malaetasi Togafau to the post.

Togafau was the territory's attorney general from 1993 to 1996 under Governor A.P. Lutali's administration.

He stepped down to run successfully for the House of Representatives in the 1996 general election.

Togafau relinquished his seat in early 2000, where he chaired the House Investigative Committee, after being confirmed by the Senate as the first Administrative Law Judge.

Another senior cabinet post appointed by Togiola for the new administration is Seui Laau Senior as chief procurement officer.

Seui was director of Parks and Recreation for the past eight years.
