The Consumer Protection Bureau in American Samoa's Attorney General's Office says there have been no public complaints officially lodged about over-charging in the wake of Cyclone Olaf.
Senate President Lolo Letalu Moliga has written to Governor Togiola asking that he direct the Consumer Protection Bureau to look into complaints by the public, about building suppliers hiking prices up by as much as 100 per cent.
The Senate is in the process of drafting legislation to control prices during emergencies.
