A Chinese national known as the Mafia Queen of Fiji has been deported.
Yan Xiu Hua was put on board a Korean Airlines plane yesterday after authorities had failed for several years to force her to leave the country.
The Mafia Queen had been linked to prostitution rackets, money laundering and other serious organised crime.
But media reports earlier said she had the protection of people in high places which is why previous deportation orders could not be enforced.
Police are now looking for the daughter of the Mafia Queen, who is also a foreign national and went into hiding yesterday
