Solomon Islands National Union of Workers says the withdrawal of the Participating Police Force from Yandina shows the dire conditions employees faced by Russell Islands Plantations Estate Ltd.

Two PPF officers have left Yandina citing occupational health and safety concerns.

Tony Kagovai says the PPF had to pull out after RIPEL had cut water and electricity supplies because of the industrial dispute.

He says workers will continue strike action, until management are sacked.

"That's a clear reflection of John Whiteside and Patrick Wong, that's how they treat the workers down in Yandina. Now its up to the public to see for themselves, and now PPF see it for themselves."

Tony Kagovai says there are four cases involving RIPEL and its workers presently before the courts.
