Tonga's finance minister, Siosiua 'Utoikamanu, has hinted that health and education are likely to get a big slice of this year's budget.

He says the general well-being of the nation is dependent on having good health services and quality education.

The Minister also says youth unemployment is at its worst and the government is looking at more training programmes to ensure school leavers have the confidence needed to gain employment

Mr Utoikamanu says for Tonga's economy to grow it needs a strong and prosperous private sector.

He says the Government's goal is to provide an environment that is conducive to private sector growth.
