Customs officials in American Samoa have found marijuana on a man who arrived from Samoa yesterday.

A 32-year-old man from Nofoalii in Samoa was arrested by police after a sniffer dog detected drugs on him.

The Samoa mechanic is scheduled to appear today in the District Court to be charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

The Samoa News says the amount of marijuana found on the man would make 20 or so cigarettes.
