French Polynesia holds anti-AIDS vigil

A vigil in French Polynesia to highlight the AIDS problem has reportedly attracted 150 people.

It was held in Papeete where several leading politicians joined a march from the town hall to the assembly building.

In the past 20 years, French Polynesia has identified 255 people with the HIV virus.

Of those, 61 have died.

The vigil was held for the fifth year.
