Guam's Deputy Director of Public Works has been reinstated after being removed from his Cabinet level position following allegations of illegal hunting.

Michael James was arrested by Conservation officers for illegal hunting in April of this year.

The misdemeanor charge was Mr. James' first and only arrest but he was removed from office.

The Attorney General's office decided not to prosecute and agreed to a motion filed in Superior Court of Guam to expunge the arrest record against Mr. James.

The Court granted the motion last week and yesterday, Mr. James was reinstated.
