Fiji police have launched an inquiry to track down those responsible for making menacing phonecalls to the prime minister.
The home affairs minister, the attorney-general and senior officials were also targeted by threatening phonecalls to their homes last night.
Police spokeswoman Inspector Unaisi Vuniwaqa says the force is reviewing the security it provides to the prime minister.
"Of course we are conducting an investigation into this, and two tasks we are taking now, we are running parallel. We're providing security and at the same time we're also conducting an investigation as we need to have a full assessment of the security that we have at present."
The Prime Minister is being guarded by armed officers of the Police Personal Protection Unit.
