A workshop has concluded in American Samoa to train trainers to fight internet crime.

The course had instructors from the FBI, China and Japan and it was attended by people from Fiji, Kiribati, Guam and American Samoa.

A trainer from the Hong Kong Police Academy, Paul Jackson, says the aim is to work to the same standard in fighting crimes.

"They are global in nature; the internet has got no boundaries. And so if we can pick up all police forces around the world with the same standards in dealing with these investigations, then we can be better prepared."
