Cook Islands police pair prepare for Solomon Islands deployment

Two Cook Islands police officers are undergoing pre-deployment training before heading to Solomon Islands for an eight month tour of duty.

The pair are the third Cook Islands police deployment of officers to the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands, and are among the first to be trained at the Australian Federal Police's newest training complex.

The new, 2.1 million US dollar complexn provides a environment for Australian and international personnel to be equipped with the skills they need to assist in achieving stability in the region.
