The Fiji serial rapist who pleaded to ten charges involving three different girls yesterday has confessed to the murder of the three other teenage girls missing from their Rakiraki home for the last 10 days.

Radio Legend says this has been confirmed by the police commissioner, Andrew Hughes.

Mr Hughes says Dip Chand confessed to the murder of the three sisters aged 17, 18 and 19 in Rakiraki jail where he is in custody pending sentencing for the earlier rapes.

He says Chand is with police on Malake Island where the murders are supposed to have taken place looking for evidence to support his confession.

Police have also engaged divers to conduct an underwater search.

Mr Hughes says the family of the three sisters has been informed of the developments.

Th new revelations come as a result of police interviews of people whom Chand had called from his mobile telephone on Sunday the 26th of June when he took the three for a fishing and picnic trip to the island.

His confession follows a police interrogation today following information received from the people he had talked to on his mobile phone.

Police are now looking for the bodies of the three.
