A fight between rival groups of young people in New Caledonia has left three persons injured, one of them seriously.
The Nouvelles Caledoniennes newspaper says in the weekend clash in Saint-Louis, a man had a leg broken and another suffered a stab wound to his arm.
The paper says the youths belong to rival clans and have been involved in a dispute over a house .
Police are reported to have questioned about 20 people in a bid to determine who caused the injuries.
