The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands has welcomed the report on its operation from a Pacific Forum Eminent Person's Group.
The EPG has spelt out 25 steps it believes need to be taken to ensure RAMSI's work can be completed.
It says there is a concerted need for reconciliation and it advocates the establishment of a commission of inquiry into the unrest, better funding for the National Peace Council, and the possibility of a council of chiefs.
The report also called on the Government to take a greater role in the process of rebuilding the country.
The RAMSI Special Co-ordinator, James Batley, notes the EPG found overwhelming support for the Mission's work.
He says the report represents a solid foundation to build on.
